The Pamlico Sea Base, in conjunction with Olympus Dive Center, offers you the safest and highest quality SCUBA training in a top five world diving destination. In their goal to educate competent and comfortable divers, Olympus guides will instruct participants in basic diving skills and equipment safety. Classroom instruction is balanced with daily swimming pool practice sessions. Towards the end of the course, divers have a chance to test their skills at a local rock quarry and a shore-based beach dive. The highlight of the week is an open ocean dive during which participants are evaluated for their PADI certification. All participants in the program will have the opportunity to earn their PADI certification. This certification is recognized world-wide and will allow participants to rent gear and continue their underwater exploration in virtually any diving arena. The Pamlico Sea Base will provide logistical support, food and lodging for participants.
